Hello all :)
Since it would be too long to write alll about me, I thought I'd just type my likes & dislikes. So here they are...
IT'S A CINCH!-
Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco, prohibition, speakeasies, flappers, hoofers, the Charleston, pre-code, Tin Pan Alley, men in waistcoats of the 1930s & 40s, big booming trumpets, tinkling pianos, old time vaudeville, old time romance, old time comedy, old time everything, Churchill’s speeches, my impersonating Al Jolson which incidentally sounds like Ethel Merman, short hair, long hair, Groucho’s wit & wisdom, telegrams, wrought iron station clocks, gothic architecture, history in general, Volkswagen camper vans, Chuck Taylor Converse All-Stars, the golden age of biscuit tins, having conversations with the elderly in the library, travelling, staying put, satire and peace.
I like to read I like to write I like to draw I like to make.
WHAT A BONER!-
War & conflict, bigotry, racism, moths, 'text-talk', bang bang thumpy dance music, crude humour, chavs & scalls, bad parking, when cashiers give you your change on the receipt so the coins slide off...
And many more dislikes, but I'm in too much of a happy mood to think of the rest right now :)
My Favourite Actors-
Charlie Chaplin, Jimmy Cagney, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, Frank McHugh, Edward G Robinson, Pat O'Brien, Peter Lorre, John Wayne... and the list goes ON & ON...
My Favourite Actresses-
Joan Blondell, Ann Sheridan, Barbara Stanwyck, Lauren Bacall, Mae Clarke, Jean Arthur, Jean Harlow, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo... and again, the list goes ON & ON...
I don’t know where I’d be without comedy.
Those that amuse me a great amount include Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, Laurel & Hardy, The Marx Brothers, Bing & Bob, Jack Benny, Johnny Carson, Don Rickles, Bob Newhart, Dom Deluise, Victor Borge, the Whose Line cast...
And of course you can't beat good ol' British comedy such as Charlie Chaplin, John Cleese, the two Ronnie's, Peter Cook & Dudley Moore, Tommy Cooper, Peter Sellers, Eric & Ernie, The Pythons...
Well, I think that'll do for now.
If you share my interests and would like to add me, feel free to do so :)
